What services do you provide?

My design focus is in weddings and I curate custom invitation suites with spot calligraphy an array of fine printing processes.  I love interpreting your vision and story into paper, and am always up for a creative challenge.  Learn more about services and see some past work.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround varies depending on the project, customization, client-approval if necessary, season and our current work load.  For calligraphy, approximately 100 envelopes has turnaround starting at two weeks.  For fully custom designed wedding invitation suites, please allow a two month turnaround, depending on printing processes and revisions.  Do note, these time frames are meant to give you a general idea and are not guaranteed, and booking in advance is necessary.  Get in touch regarding your specific project and need-by date.

When should I mail out my wedding invitations?

Save the Dates should go out 6-8 months (or earlier) prior to the wedding, Invitations two weeks prior (closer to 3 months for a destination wedding), and set your RSVP by date 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding.

Do you provide printing?

Absolutely.  In fact, I currently do not sell digital files only.  I work with a wide variety of trusted, beloved printers and can accommodate for digital printing, die cutting, foil printing, letterpress, laser cutting and more.

Where are you located and do you ship?

Iā€™m located in the San Diego area.  Office hours are by appointment only, so contact me to set up a meeting during business hours.  Custom wedding invitations can be shipped directly to you, or we can even provide assembly and mailing services to get your invitations to your guests.  Plus you non-California clients save on sales tax, so do not hesitate to reach out if you are out of state.

Do you offer custom hand painted signage?

These items are not offered at this time, but can do large format printed signage for local events.  As always, we'd be glad to offer you a referral for chalkboard, mural or large-scale hand painted signage services.

Can you create a logo or offer branding services?

Not at this time!  It's a whole other animal and process, and my focus is with weddings.  Who knows what the future holds, but for now it's a no-go.

What is your pricing?

Pricing depends on the item, process and customization.  A custom wedding invitation suite starts around $1,400+ for all digital printing. Many clients spend on average $2,000 - $3,000+ on a custom invitation suite. This is highly dependent on print processes, services, intricacy of design and quantity of sets.

Do you have a minimum for orders?

Yes, especially during the busy wedding season. Minimums for invitation suites start at $1,000. At this time we are unable to accommodate for smaller projects, but we are happy to find you an alternative calligrapher or designer.

I want to learn calligraphy!  Do you teach?

Yes!  Check out our events to see if there is an Introduction to Modern Calligraphy workshop coming up near you.  These workshops are for complete beginners and cover everything regarding history, tools, techniques and more.  You'll even get to take home your own starter kit.  Mostly in San Diego, but we've been traveling all over.  You can sign up for our wait list for future events here.
