What services do you provide?
Our design focus is in weddings and we can provide calligraphy services and curate custom invitation suites with an array of fine printing processes. We like thinking outside the box and doing things a little differently, so we are always up for a creative challenge. Learn more about our services and see some past work.
What is your turnaround time?
Turnaround varies depending on the project, customization, client-approval if necessary, season and our current work load. For calligraphy, approximately 100 envelopes has turnaround starting at two weeks. For fully custom designed wedding invitation suites, please allow a 6-10 week turnaround. depending on printing processes and revisions. Do note, these time frames are meant to give you a general idea and are not guaranteed. Contact us regarding your specific project and need-by date.
When should I mail out my wedding invitations?
We suggest mailing Save the Dates out 6-8 months (or earlier) prior to the wedding, Invitations 6-8 weeks prior (closer to 3 months for a destination wedding, and setting your RSVP by date 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding.
Do you provide printing?
Absolutely. In fact, we currently do not sell digital files only. We work with great local printers and can accommodate for digital printing, die cutting, foil printing, letterpress, laser cutting and more.
Where are you located and do you ship?
We are located in the San Diego area. Office hours are by appointment only, so contact us to set up a meeting. We can happily ship custom wedding invitations directly to you or even provide assemble and mailing services to get your invitations to your guests. Plus you non-California clients save on sales tax, so do not hesitate to reach out if you are out of state.
Do you offer custom hand painted signage?
This has been a big part of our business, but beginning in 2017 we will stop offering these items at this time. We are happy to help with your paper needs, contact us for more information. As always, we'd be glad to offer you a referral.
Can you create a logo or offer branding services?
Not at this time! It's a whole other animal and process, so we are focusing on weddings at this time. Who knows what the future holds, but for now it's a no-go.
Do you have a minimum for orders?
Yes, especially during the busy wedding season. Contact us for more information. At this time we are unable to accommodate for smaller projects, but we are happy to find you an alternative calligrapher or designer.
What is your pricing?
Pricing depends on the item, process and customization. A custom wedding invitation suite starts around $1,200+. Let’s get in touch today and we will be happy to provide you with more details.
I want to learn calligraphy! Do you teach?
Yes! Check out our events to see if there is an Introduction to Modern Calligraphy workshop coming up near you. These workshops are for complete beginners and cover everything regarding history, tools, techniques and more. You'll even get to take home your own starter kit. Mostly in San Diego, but we've been traveling all over. You can sign up for our wait list for future events here. **PLEASE NOTE- No 2017 workshops are currently scheduled at this moment.**
